Description

Power wire cemented resistor with type designation TR305 can be used in various applications in electrotechnical practice.

The resistor labeled TR305 68R/J has a nominal resistance of 68 Ω with a maximum power dissipation of 200 W.

The TR305 68R/J resistor can be applied as a simple protection against so-called ferroresonance in high-voltage instrument voltage transformers. The resistor is connected to the so-called open triangle, see principle connection of the resistor in an open triangle with the PTN trio. An open triangle is realized using auxiliary windings of single-pole instrument voltage transformers. The markings of the auxiliary forcing terminals of individual transformers are da and dn.

When connecting a power resistor in an open delta, it is important to check whether only one point of the open delta is grounded before connecting the PTN to the electrical network.

ATTENTION! In case of grounding of an open triangle on two terminals, there is a risk of damage to the device.

For unused secondary windings, ground only one terminal at a time. ATTENTION! If the secondary winding is connected to a short circuit, the device will be destroyed.
